The Big Five of DAVID ROSSMAUR

Every month we ask one of our colleagues five big questions concerning Minicards. Since this year David Rossmaur, with Georg Kolarik, runs the business in London. He sees all kinds of new opportunities.

Who: David Rossmaur

What: Minicards London

Part of the Minicards network since: 2022

About: David has enjoyed a varied career path with senior roles in the media, travel and hospitality industries which included time living and working in LA. Previous to taking on the London Minicards Franchise, he worked as director of partnerships at Travlet which is a 'Guest Experience & Digital Concierge Platform' for accommodation partners across the globe.

1. You’re running Minicards since last year. What inspired you to start this business?
The London franchise opportunity came about as part of the extended conversation regarding the launch of a Minicards ticketing platform and I can see the great potential for the two being combined.”

2. What is the status right now?
We relaunched the brand during June with a full restock of other 170 locations, using 320,000 new Minicards and this process is ongoing.

 3. What big lesson about the business do you want to share?
For me, it’s not always about trying to sell a paid-for Minicards campaign to an advertiser as there can be more lucrative commission-based partnership options on offer. Perhaps it’s easier for me to say having worked at Groupon UK as their head of attractions, where I'm used to having to find a new angle to pitch.”

4. How do you see the future of Minicards London?
As a combination of the continued printed campaigns, the launch of Visitor Voucher London and the development of the ticketing platform to provide various routes to market for advertisers/trading partners.”

5. What’s big on your to-do list for this year?
The development of multiple food and beverage opportunities is my top priority at present, followed closely by retail shopping partnerships. This could lead to the development of a loyalty/rewards platform for Minicards London in the not-too-distant future.
